Sam Hasler –'Tourist or Pilgrim'
Sam Hasler is a visual artist based in Cardiff. He has made performance and installation work across the UK in Galleries and alternative spaces. He has exhibited at g39 gallery in Cardiff, The National Review of Live Art in Glasgow and EXPO Festival in Nottingham. His work uses drawing and writing within a process that allows decision making and creative responses to space. At their core the works form ongoing research into faith. Each work is structured around the space where it is made and shown, the locality and the architecture.
Anne Seagrave – 'JESTEM'
Anne Seagrave (UK, Ireland/Spain/Poland) has presented her distinctive movement based performance/video/installation work internationally for over 25 years. She has won numerous awards including: Best Experimental Art Film at the Kerry Film Festival 2002, four Arts Council of Ireland Visual Arts Bursaries, The Arts Foundation Live Art Fellowship 2002 and has devised new work during artist's residencies in Spain, Holland, Canada, UK, Poland and Ireland. Until 2004 she was a regular visiting lecturer at the National College of Art in Dublin, and a freelance organiser of many Live Art events in Ireland. From 2004-2007 she was an Arts and Humanities Research Fellow at the University of Ulster in Belfast, focusing upon the artist’s use of self-image. In 2008 she retired from performing live and is currently based in Krakow working solely on paper.
Dominic Thorpe – 'Cavity of the Mouth'
Dominic Thorpe lives and works in Dublin where he received an MA from the National College of Art and Design in 2006. He has shown Nationally and internationally. Exhibitions include: Inbound - Bergin Museum of Art Norway 2010, Due Process II - Third space Gallery Belfast 2011, Is Feidir DomhainEile a Chruthu - WSF Belem Brazil 2009 and Video Killed the Radio Star – Royal Hibernain Academy Dublin 2009. He has had solos shown at the 126 Gallery in Galway 2010, the Mermaid Arts Centre Bray 2010 and The Courthouse Arts Centre Tinaheally County Wicklow 2009. In 2009 he co-founded Performance Art Live Ireland for whom he co-curated the Landmark Irish Performance art show RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW at Kilmainham Jail Dublin 2010. In 2010 he also founded the Irish Performance art support group Unit1. He has been a visiting lecturer at the National College of Art and Design Dublin and the Galway Mayo Institute of Technology and has presented work to students at the Louisana State University and at the Migration in Museums conference Berlin 2008. He has completed a number of residencies in Ireland where he also has work in a number of public collections. He has been supported by the Arts Council of Ireland, CREATE and the Kildare County Council.
